Barrel of Monkeys isn't just a cute name. It's an idea that started over 10 years ago when my dear friend, Dawn Whiteman, and I decided we should start a strategy consultancy called Barrel of Monkeys. That was us: just two monkeys, having fun, doing smart shit for brands to solve business problems. Life happened and it was shelved as just a fun idea that never was. Dawn passed away in 2024. I was restructured out of my job late 2025. So in 2026, I took the leap and launched.
Barrel of Monkeys is an analogy for marketing today. It's about connecting all the disparate parts. It's about creating a long chain of memories in a consumer's mind. It's about having the dexterity to move nimbly - but smartly. And of course, it's about having some fun along the way.
